IRISNDT provides comprehensive engineering assessments (EA) for all types of pressure equipment, tanks, and piping. When required, a detailed fitness for service (FFS) assessment meeting the requirements of recommend practice API RP 579 – Fitness for Service can be completed.

Our EA and FFS assessments are supported by our technical subject matter experts in materials, damage mechanisms, advanced NDT.

IRISNDT APPLIES EA AND FFS FOR:​ 

  • Evaluating defects and imperfections to assess the impact on the integrity of the asset
  • Conducting quantitative FFS to API RP 579 to determine if a component with a defect can remain in service
  • Determining the impact of changes in service conditions on the integrity of the asset
  • Determining if specification deviations during design and construction are acceptable
  • Recommending the most appropriate inspection methods and technologies to support EA and FFS assessments

  • Customized EA to support a wide variety of asset integrity challenges and types of equipment
  • Quantitative Level I & II API RP 579 FFS assessments; IRISNDT can complete Level III FFS analysis
  • Subject matter experts to support a customer EA or FFS
